About City of Toronto - Hockey Lessons

Delivered through community arenas across Toronto, Etobicoke, North York, and Scarborough, the City of Toronto's skating and hockey programmes serve children, youth, adults, and older adults at all ability levels. The curriculum runs from caregiver-accompanied learn-to-skate classes and beginner hockey lessons through to power skating, figure skating, shinny hockey, goalie programmes, and sledge programmes.

All programmes operate under CSA-approved helmet requirements, and registration is available online. The structured progression of the Learn to Skate levels — from beginner through advanced — allows participants to develop at their own pace within a standardised framework.

Because the City administers these programmes across multiple facilities, session availability and scheduling vary by location and season. The breadth of sites across the city makes this one of the more geographically accessible options for Toronto-area families.
