About Core Hockey

Core Hockey has operated out of Fort William First Nations Arena in Thunder Bay since 2006, giving it roughly two decades of programming in the region. Founder and head coach Gary Ricciardi holds Hockey Canada and USA Hockey certifications at their highest levels.

The programme calendar is extensive, running spring and summer camps broken out by age group — U7/U9, U11/U13, U15/U18 — alongside a Pro Camp, small group training sessions, and cross-ice programmes offered in both spring and summer. A Junior Prep Camp rounds out the spring schedule. On-ice focus areas span power skating, shooting and scoring, and stickhandling and puck control.

Athletes from youth through adult recreational levels are accommodated across the various formats.
