About Alberta Edge School of Skating Centre

Founded by Lisa Bakken in 1993, Alberta Edge School of Skating Centre has operated out of the Terwillegar and Callingwood arenas in Edmonton for over 30 years. Programming spans the full development continuum — from Power-Learn to Skate and PrePower Skating through Power Levels 1–3 and into advanced work — serving hockey players, ringette players, and junior figure skaters.

The curriculum covers skating fundamentals, edges, and power skating technique across structured group levels. The Junior Figure Skating School runs alongside the hockey-oriented streams, making the centre a venue for skaters with different competitive backgrounds. All programmes operate within Edmonton's west-end arena facilities.
